The Ivy and Pearls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which provides scholarships to outstanding high school students in the greater Bay Area of African and African-American descent. The Foundation has proudly awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to students in the Bay Area to fund their future educational aspirations and goals. In 2021, scholarship awards of $1,000-$2,000 will be granted to graduating high school seniors attending a two-year, four-year, or vocational college. We look forward to receiving your applications and wish you all a successful scholarship season. Congratulations on all your hard work!

Scholarship Application Requirements 

  1. Applicants must be of African or African American descent

  2. Applicants must reside in San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County, or Contra Costa County

  3. Applicants may be female, male, or non-binary

  4. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale

  5. Applicant must be a high school senior, graduating in Spring 2021

  6. Applicant must be accepted to a two-year, four-year, or vocational college and show proof of enrollment before scholarship funds will be dispersed.

The application must include the following:​

  1. 2021 Scholarship Essay – no more than two (2) pages, typed and double-spaced

  2. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation – teacher, counselor, principal, coach, or individual familiar with your personal achievements

  3. Official High School Transcript, including grades from Fall Semester 2020

  4. Verification of a minimum of twenty (20) completed community service hours
